My awesome friends at SMOG asked me to come up with a design for this new advertising campaign/ short film.
For the girl and her friend, a deer, we came up with an ethnic inspired design. It’s reminiscent of our indigenous tribes, the Mapuches, with the use of earthly colors and their pertinent hair “style”. The Mapuche Spirit of Fire (Pillan), was a difficult task, because creating something as abstract as a fire being is not an easy task. We tried different things, from fire and coal combinations, to lava and stone. We finally decided upon a fire and wood character, to portrait how a controlled fire being could represent a good thing, like the fire wood used for camping.
