I had the immense pleasure of working on My Little Pony: Make Your Mark, the fifth generation of Hasbro’s internationally acclaimed franchise My Little Pony. This series follows five ponies as they embark on thrilling adventures across Equestria, facing off against a villainous alicorn. Along the way, they encounter new friends, find themselves in sticky situations, and ultimately discover what makes each of them unique and special in their own way.
I joined this show as a designer, and I absolutely loved how colourful and vibrant this world was. It was a thrilling challenge to rethink everyday props and environments, ensuring they were functional for ponies—held by hooves and appropriately sized for their short bodies. As the show progressed, I was given the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, including developing and planning animated sequences, designing graphics, and creating colour keys. This latter task became my favourite aspect of the job, allowing me to immerse myself in the visual storytelling of the series.
